LinguaLift — a frictionless way to learn from your real reading
A minimal workflow that lets you grab any phrase while browsing, translate it instantly, tag by context (work, travel, football, etc.), and review the best bits later. Built with a tiny Chrome helper and a Make scenario — no heavyweight app needed.

The problem
When you’re reading online in another language, you often come across new words or expressions that catch your attention. You look them up, maybe translate them — but then you forget them minutes later. Existing apps make it tedious: switching tabs, logging in, copying, pasting, organizing... the moment’s gone.
The solution
LinguaLift makes language learning part of your normal browsing. Highlight a phrase, right-click, and send it to your personal learning space. It’s instantly translated, tagged, and stored — ready for later review. No distractions, no friction, just natural learning flow.
How it works
-
1️⃣ Capture on the fly — Right-click any phrase in Chrome and select “Send to LinguaLift.”
The extension instantly captures the highlighted text, its source URL, and the detected language. -
🗄️ Store securely in Supabase — Each capture is logged in a lightweight Supabase table,
keeping your phrases organized, queryable, and ready for automation. -
⚙️ Process via Make — Make listens for new entries from Supabase, translates them using your preferred provider,
adds phonetics (optional), and generates a few smart tags such as topic, tone, or context. -
📚 Review & retain — Your phrases appear in Notion, Sheets, or Airtable for review.
Filter by topic or difficulty, star your favorites, and track your spaced repetition progress over time.
